'The Band Back Together' by Barney Norris

I have been invited to design the setting for the touring of Barney Norris' new play. Supported by Farnham Maltings and Arts Council England; touring across England this Spring. Rehearsals are well underway, including test rigs of set and lighting design exploration with Barney and the producers at Farnham Maltings. Music score has been developed by Tom Cook. It's an exciting piece of writing and very enjoyable developing the set alongside Barney.

Design has been influenced by the blue hues of distance, late 20C sound recording methods and a focus on impactful pop up set that sets the stage but does not clutter. The tour is being staged in community spaces that vary in height and available performance space. Colour pops of pink will be used within the play to offer sharp changes of pace or mood.
